The following April 9, 1925 Lowell Tribune article appeared on page 1, column 2:

FORMER RESIDENT DEAD

Mrs. Mildred Higinbotham*, a former resident of Lowell and Cedar Lake, passed away at the Soldier's home in Lafayette Sunday. Her remains were brought to Cedar Lake Tuesday. Funeral services were held at the Binyon hotel yesterday at 2 p.m. Interment in the Creston Cemetery beside her late husband. Obituary next week.

* NOTE -- Although this news story typed her last name as "Higinbotham," another news article spelled it "Higginbotham."
