This February 25, 1943, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 2, column 3:
    Two dinners were given for Milton Cross before he left for service on Feb. 22. Saturday a 6 o'clock dinner was given in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Roberts and on Sunday at his own home. Present were his wife and son, Jerry, his mother, Mrs. Edna Cross, and his sisters, Delores Jean, Mrs. Hobart Estill, Mrs. Floyd Foley and Mr. and Mrs. Fritz Peterson and son Larry, Mrs. L.C. Jones and Flick Sayers.
