The following article was found in the Sept. 14, 1872, Lowell Star on page 5, column 3:

Mrs. Bartholomew, the mother of quite a large family of children, was buried at the Lowell cemetery last Tuesday.

Note: The Lowell Cemetery book at the Lowell Public Library does not have a listing for a Mrs. Batholomew who died in 1872. It could be that no headstone was erected or that her headstone has since been removed or is illegible.
