The following March 10, 1921, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 1, column 6:

    Mother and Babe Dead

    Mrs. Edward DeKoker and little daughter, only a few hours old, died at their home in Shelby Tuesday. Funeral services will be held at the M. E. church in Shelby today at 2 p.m. Interment will be made in the Orchard Grove cemetery.
