The following article was found in the Dec. 27, 1945, Lowell Tribune on page 8, column 4:

Mr. and Mrs. Jack Miller, of Elk Rapids, Mich., were here for a visit with her aunt, Mrs. Guy Brownell, and family. Mr. Miller was a Jap prisoner of war for 3 1/2 years and was on the death march to Bataan.
