The following article was found in the March 18, 1943, Lowell Tribune on page 1, column 5:

CLARK HOME IS SCENE OF BIRTHDAY SURPRISE

Last Tuesday night Mrs. J. Addison Clark, who was spending the evening in town with a friend, received a call to hurry home. Upon arriving she found several of her neighbors and friends gathered to remind her of another birthday.

Delicious refreshments were served and lovely gifts were received by Mrs. Clark.

Winners in the pinochle games were: ladies' high, Mrs. Guy Robinson and Faith Stark low; men's high, Norman Jones, and Guy Surprise low.
