MRS. JAS. BLACK DIES SUDDENLY
WAS IMPROVING WELL. HEART ATTACK CAUSES DEATH. FUNERAL TODAY.
This community was greatly shocked Monday night when hews came from the Hammond hospital that Mrs. James Black, who had been a patient there, had passed away suddenly in the hospital. She had been at the hospital for about a month and was improving nicely, expecting to be able to come to her home here Tuesday or Wednesday. She was in her room talking with friends when she was attacked with heart failure. A doctor was called immediately and stimulants were administered, but she passed away in a few minutes. There were no members of the family present when death came. Mr. Black had visited her at the hospital in the morning and found her feeling good at that time and left thinking she would be able to come home in a short time.Mrs. Black was a woman who was greatly beloved by all who knew her and her death is a great shock to all.
Funeral services will be held at the M.E. church today, Thursday, at 1:30 p.m. Obituary next week.
