Mrs. Moses M. Esty (1818-1902)
- Mrs. M.M. Esty was born in Medfield, Mass. She was a member of the Pond family of that state. She was brought up according to the New England custom of those days. She was born May 26, 1818, and was married to Edwin S. Cutler in 1838, and became the mother of nine children, one of whom only is now living, Dr. Cutler, of Kankakee, Ill.
She was married to Moses M. Esty and became with him a resident on the Wariner place at Cedar Lake, about 1863. Mrs. Esty closed her earthly life Wednesday, October 8, 1902, at the home of her son Herbert M. Esty, full of years, leaving the record of a true and good life.
She was a Bible student, and was baptized by Rev. T.H. Ball in 1869, more than 32 years ago, and went to sleep in Christ, to wake in glory. She leaves a husband, two sons, and thirteen grand-children.
The burial services, conducted by Rev. T.H. Ball, were held in the Creston church, Friday afternoon, October 10, 1902, most of the grand children and the other near kindred being present, and the body was committed to the earth in full and certain hope of an awakening at the coming of the Lord.
