The following article was found in the March 23, 1944, Lowell Tribune on page 2, column 2:

Mrs. Lillian Brownell visited her granddaughter, Mrs. Reed Geisen *, and baby in Gary, prior to the latter's departure last week for Memphis, Tenn., where her husband is stationed with the medical corps.

NOTE: Various news articles spell the last name differently: Geise, Giese, Geisen.
