The following December 6, 1951, Lowell Tribune article appeared on page 1, column 2:

Lowell relatives received news last week of the death of Mrs. W.M. Kuhn, 63, the former Nellie Strickland of Lowell and Hammond. Mrs. Kuhn died at her home in Prairie Home, Mo. Area survivors include a son, Radford Hayden of Hammond; a brother, Bert Strickland of Lowell; and a sister, Mrs. R. Franks of Calumet City. Her husband and a host of relatives reside in Missouri.
