Oscar Hampton Perdue
SHELBY MAN DIES OF GUN WOUNDS
Oscar Hampton Perdue, 54, a resident of Shelby for the past eight years, died at his home on August 11, of self-inflicted shotgun wounds. He had been ill with a heart condition. He was formerly employed by the Lowell Lumber Company.Ten children were included among his survivors.
Memorial services were held at 1 p.m. Monday in the Sheets funeral Home, with Rev. E.L. Worley officiating. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. cemetery at Rochester, Indiana.
