YOUNG MAN KILLED IN AUTO WRECK MONDAY
Paul Zimmerman, 19, of Cedar Lake, was killed in an auto accident on road 55, just south of the Harry Clark farm, early Monday morning, and his companion, Joe Kosti, of near Fair Oaks, was quite seriously injured when the car in which they were riding left the road and overturned in a ditch. The fatal accident was believed to have been caused when a tire blew out.Young Kosti's twin and another youth were in a car ahead of Zimmerman and when the lights of the car behind suddenly disappeared, they went back to investigate and found the car in the ditch. Zimmerman was taken to the Weaver funeral home and Kosti was rushed to Jasper county hospital at Rensselaer.
The remains were taken to Chicago by Weaver & Son yesterday, where funeral services are being held today.
The young man leaves his parents who had moved from Chicago to Cedar Lake only about a year ago, two brothers, Pfc. Irvin, with the army overseas, and Harold, at home.
