The following January 25, 1945, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 1, column 5:

    PEGGY HORNER AND DON GRAVES, U.S.N.R., MARRIED

    Mr. and Mrs. Charles Horner of Lowell, announce the marriage of their daughter, Peggy, to Specialist First Class Don Graves, U.S.N.R., son of Mrs. Warren C. Green of Valparaiso. The ceremony was performed on Jan. 4th at the manse of the First Presbyterian church, Crown Point, with the Rev. Thomas H. Adkins officiating. Attendants were Mss Irene Horner, sister of the bride, and Robert E. Graves, brother of the groom.

    Mrs. Graves is a graduate of Lowell high school and is at present assistant manager of Eakin's Lingerie Shop in Gary, where she has been employed for the past five years.

    Mr. Graves is home on leave after two years' service in the Pacific. In civilian life he was employed by the Gary division of the Northern Indiana Public Service Co.

    The temporary residence of the newlyweds will be determined by the station to which the groom is assigned upon completion of his leave.
