Peter B. Dodge (1885-1893)
- DIED - Peter B. Dodge, son of Nebraska and Alice Dodge, born September 4th, 1885, in the town of Ferry, Oceana County, Mich. Died October 14th, 1893, at Orchard Grove, Lake County, Indiana, aged 8 years, one month, and 10 days. His mother having died when he was four years old, he was living with his relatives, Mr. and Mrs. J.P. Spalding. There is a large circle of friends who mourn his loss. Let us hope it is his gain.
The following undated, unidentified newspaper article was found in a copy of Helen Craft's Scrapbook at the Lowell Public Library:
- Peter B. Dodge, son of Nebraska and Alice Dodge, was born Sept 4, 1885, in Ferry, Oceana Co., Mich., and died October 14th, 1893, at Orchard Grove, Lake county, Ind., aged 8 years, 1 month and 10 days. His mother died when he was four years old and he was living with his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. J.P. Spalding. His father, one brother and one sister are living in the town Wooley, state of Washington, and one sister in Ferry, Oceana county, Michigan. He leaves a large circle of friends and relatives to mourn his loss.
