Peter Seramur

The following newspaper article, hand-identified as being from the May 11, 1956, Star, was found in a scrapbook owned by Town Historian Richard Schmal:
    Services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Geisen's funeral home for Peter Seramur, 84, 810 Thomas street, Crown Point, who died Wednesday at his home. He was a longtime resident of this community.

    Surviving with his wife Lina are five daughters, Mrs. Muerell Breamer of Chicago, Mrs. Bernice Erfert of Wonder Lake, Illinois, Mrs. Mable Ringer of Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Ella Hills of Las Vegas, Nevada, Mrs. Caroline Estes of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; three sons, Gerald Seramur of Oakland, California, Ernest and James Scott of Crown Point; a sister, Mrs. Mary Esslinger of Crown Point; seven grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren.

    Rev. Jasper Cox will officiate for services and burial will be made in St. Mary's cemetery.
