The following unidentified newspaper article was found in a scrapbook owned by Town Historian Richard Schmal:

    Funeral Today for Reinhold Kleiber, 92

    Reinhold T. Kleiber, 92, Lowell, died July 17 at Ruff Nursing Home, Knox, Ind. Kleiber formerly lived in Whiting, when he was employed as chief pattern maker at Standard Oil Co. After his retirement in 1928, he made his home in St. Petersburg, Fla. In latter years he resided with his son and family, Dr. and Mrs. Harold R. Kleiber of 523 Oakley Avenue.

    He was a member of the Methodist church in Whiting, and the Loyal Order of Moose.

    Survivors include his widow Nancy J. (Usery); three sons, Charles Nagel of Munster, Dr. Harold R. Kleiber of Lowell, and Richard E. Kleiber of Valparaiso; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

    Memorial services will be conducted at 2:30 this afternoon, July 19, in the Eskridge Funeral Home. The Rev. C.J. Eaton will offoicate. Interment will be made in Oak Hill cemetery, Hammond.
