The following newspaper article, hand-identified as being from the July 1, 1955, Tribune, was found in a scrapbook owned by Town Historian Richard Schmal:

    Rev. Clyde Vasey New Pastor At Lake Prairie

    The community extends a warm welcome to Rev. and Mrs. Clyde Vasey and children, Clyde 5, Cynthia 3, and Charles, 18 months. Rev. Vasey is the new student pastor at Lake Prairie Presbyterian church.

    Clyde and Lois, natives of Kingman, Kansas, came to the Lake Prairie community from Gary, where he served as an assistant pastor at the First Presbyterian church, while attending classes at McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago.
