Rev. Otis J. McMullen

Rev. Otis J. McMullen

A copy of the following newspaper article, hand-identified as being from the Sept. 8, 1955, Tribune, was found in a scrapbook owned by Town Historian Richard Schmal:

Rev. O.J. McMullen Pastor At Crawfordsville

Rev. Otis J. McMullen, who has led the Range Line Presbyterian church for the past two years, was selected to serve as pastor of the Milligan Memorial Presbyterian Church at Crawfordsville when the Logansport Presbytery met at Michigan City last week.

During his pastorate here, the parish has accomplished much. The new manse was completed, and a lovely new church was built. Rev. McMullen became well know here through his interest in youth.

The Rev. William Schuster of the Lake Village Presbyterian church was made moderator of the Range Line Session, which was given permission to supply the pulpit until Rev. McMullen's successor is elected.

Elders representing the church at the meeting were Mrs. Elmer Childress, Mrs. John Amey, John Jurs, and Richard Ellis.
