This July 17, 1952, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 2, columns 2-3:
    Richard Little, son of Mr. and Mrs. Seth Little, reported in Indianapolis today, July 17th, for military service. Dick was graduated from Purdue University last month.

A November 27, 1952, Lowell Tribune article on page 1, column 6, mentioned that Dick Little was home from service for Thanksgiving.


The following December 4, 1952, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 2 column 4:
    Upon completion of 16 weeks of basic training at Fort Riley, Kan., Pvt. Richard Little enjoyed a ten-day visit with his parents, the Seth Littles and his grandmother, Mrs. Bessie Little. He was joined for the Thanksgiving weekend holidays by his brother, Jerry, who is a student at Purdue, and his sisters and brothers-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hillsman of Indianapolis and Mr. and Mrs. Lee Buechler and their little son, Mark, of Hamilton.
