The following August 21, 1952, Lowell Tribune article was found in Section 2 on page 1, column 2:

Cpl. and Mrs. Richard Benck have returned to Miami, Florida, following a 10-day visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Mussman, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Benck. Upon his return Richard was awarded a promotion to that of Airman First Class, a rating equivalent in rank to the former Air Force title of sergeant. In service now for 13 months, Richard has been transferred to Roads and Grounds section and is working on diesel equipment.
