Richard Eugene Herron (1924-1977)
- Richard E. Herron, 73, of Lowell, IN, passed away on Friday, October 17, 1997. He is survived by his wife Ann; one son, Robert D. Herron of Lake Village; one daughter, Jeni L. (Paul) Skorka of Lowell; three stepchildren, Peggy (Ray) Cooper of Lake Village, Nancy (Robert) Cruise of Lake Village and Tom (Melody) Hendryx of Cedar Lake; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Kenny (Sandy) Herron of Cedar Lake and Ralph Herron of Georgia; three sisters, Mary Ellen Hollister of Florida, Bonnie Beier of Georgia and Bernice (Rusty) Lane of Schneider.
A graveside memorial service was held on Friday, October 24, 1997 at 1 pm at the Lake Village Cemetery in Lake Village, IN. Cremation preceded at Oakland Memory Lanes in Dolton, IL.
Richard was a member of the Retired Operating Engineers Local #150 in Countryside, IL. and a member of the American Legion Post #375 in Lake Village. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to the charity of your choice. Arrangements by the Sheets Funeral Home of Lowell, IN.
