Robert L. Green
- With the 1st Calvalry Division in Japan - Pvt. Robert L. Green, whose wife, Janet, lives on route 4, Crown Point, is now serving with the 1st Calvalry Division in Japan.
The 1st Calvalry, one of the first American units rushed to Korea in 1950, was relieved from front-line duty last December. Now part of the U.S. security force in Japan, it is training on the barren, northern island of Hokkaido, less than four miles from Red-held territory.
Pvt. Green received basic training at Fort Belvoir, Va. He entered the Army in January 1952.
His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Green, live at 608 St., Hobart.
