Roy Fowler
- A member of one of Lake County's oldest families, Roy Fowler died Sunday at the age of 74 in his home in Sunland, California. Word of his passing came from his wife, Pearl Wheaton Fowler, to her sister, Mrs. Harry Barr. They had returned only recently from vacation travel.
A carpenter by trade, Roy left Crown Point 40 years ago but when his name is recalled, with those of the Luman Fowlers' other children, mention is still made of his jovial nature and his flair for good baseball play when he was on some of the town's earlier-day teams. Only one member of the Fowler family survives, his sister Ruth, Mrs. Charles Waybright, whose home is in Warsaw.
With his wife Roy leaves a son, Clifford of Bakersfield, California, and a daughter, Belvia Burton of South Pasadena; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Burial was made in Forest Lawn after services there Wednesday morning.
