The following April 11, 1968, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 7, columns 7-8:
    Airman First Class Russell B. Hicks, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Russell B. Hicks, Sr., of 7915 Hendricks Place, Crown Point, Ind., has been graduated from U.S. Air Force technical school at Keesler AFB, Miss.

    He was trained as a navigation equipment repairman and has been assigned to a unit of the Strategic Air Command at Barksdale, AFB, La.

    The airman, a graduate of Merrillville High School, Gary, Ind., attended the Art Institute of Chicago, Ill.

    His wife, Sandra, is the daughter is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Nelson of R.R.2, Hobart, Ind.
