Ruth A. Tarr

A copy of the following unidentified newspaper article was found in a scrapbook owned by Town Historian Richard Schmal:

    Died

TARR -- At their home about two and a half miles west of this city, Monday morning, June 15, 1891, Mrs. Ruth A. Tarr, of lagrippe and a complication of troubles growing out of it.

The deceased has been an active member of the Baptist church of this city for years. She leaves a husband and three or four grown children.

The funeral occurred yesterday at 2 o'clock p.m., Rev. J.A. Bull officiating.

We take the above from the Ellsworth (Kansas) Times. Mrs. Tarr was well and favorably known in this community having lived for many years in West Creek Township. For the past 13 years has resided near Ellsworth, Kansas. Our sympathy is extended to the bereaved family and friends of the deceased.
