Ruth Brownell Brannon
(Mrs. Amos Brannon)
- Mr. and Mrs. Earl Brownell were called to Hammond last Thursday on
account of the illness of their daughter, Mrs. Amos Brannon, who had
been taken to the hospital that morning. Saturday morning Lowell people
were shocked by the news of her death which was caused by influenza and
pneumonia. The funeral services were held at the home of her parents in
Lowell Monday afternoon, Rev. Servies of Goodland, preaching the sermon.
Her brothers came to attend the funeral. Guy, from Rapid City, Mich.;
John from Brazil; Claude, from Peoria, Ill.; amd Walter, from
Valparaiso. Her older brothers, Carl and Ed. live in Lowell. Ed. is
seriously ill with pnuemonia. She leaves to mourn her also two sisters,
Mrs. Harold Hill of Joliet, and Mrs. Howard Slocomb of this place.
Ruth's beautiful character and sweet dispostion . . . [illegible]. . .
in all her friends and acquaintances who deeply sympathize with the
bereaved husband and family.
