Sarah Ann Minninger, Life-long Resident of Lowell, Dies
Mrs. Sarah Ann (Templeton) Minninger, life-long resident of Lowell, passed away Sunday morning in Our Lady of Mercy hospital at Dyer. She was 94 years old at the time of her death and had been in ill health for some time.Sarah Ann was the daughter of Julia (Rockwell) Templeton and Charles L. Templeton, early settlers of this community. She was united in marriage to Michael Minninger January 25, 1882, and to this union, nine children were born.
Ann was a loving and devoted mother and no sacrifice was too great for her children.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 30, at the Eskridge funeral home. The eulogy was conducted by Rev. E.L. Worley. Burial was made in the Lowell cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael, and three children, Cecil R. Minninger, Mrs. Mae Murdin, and Mrs. Julia Hackett.
Her survivors are Oca M. Foster of LaPorte, Leon M. Minninger of Tucson, Arizona, C. Merle Minninger, Charles T. Minninger and J. Madeline Hayden, all of Lowell, and Margurite B. Hayden of Chicago.
She had 14 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and two great, great grandchildren.
