The following June 8, 1944, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 1, column 5:

    THREE CONNELLY BOYS HONORED WITH PARTY

    A combination farewell and welcome home party was held at the Connelly home, Cedar Lake, Sunday, June 4, honoring Pfc. Stewart Connelly, who arrived home the previous Sunday after two and one-half years service in Panama; Cpl. William J. Connelly, who arrived home Saturday, June 3, from Canada, and Jack Connelly, who left last Monday morning to enter the navy.

    Attending were Mr. and Mrs. Albert Williams and daughter, Carolyn of Gary; Mr. and Mrs. John Connelly and son, John, of Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Nichols and son, Jerry, of Lowell; Williams' financee, Miss Catherine Radocinski of Gary; Mrs. Catherine Connelly and sons, James and Cliff, and daughter, Violet, all of Cedar Lake
