MRS. SUSAN STARK, 90, DIES AT LAKE HOME
Mrs. Susan M. Stark, 90, of Rural Route 4, Cedar Lake, died Monday in her home after a short illness.Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Tillie Schafer and Mrs. Josephine Fedler of Cedar Lake, Mrs. Frances Vollman and Mrs. Olive Grotwoski [Grotowski?] of Chicago and Mrs. Christine Kotroba of Berwyn, Ill.; four sons, George of Lowell, Edward of Hammond, Joseph of Cedar Lake and Gregory of Sacramento, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Rosa Stark of Hammond; a brother, Frank Thiel of Hammond; 32 grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Funeral services were held at 9 a.m. this morning (Thursday) at Giessen Funeral home, Crown Point, and at 10 a.m. in Holy Name church at Cook, with Rev. Joseph Worley officiating. Interment was in the Holy Name cemetery.
She was a member of the Rosary Society, the Third Order of St. Francis and the Women's Catholic Order of Foresters.
