The following article was found in the Jan. 14, 1943, Lowell Tribune on page 4, column 2:
- A letter received from their son, Pvt. Thomas Bruckman by his parents, the Harold Bruckmans, says to tell everyone in Lowell and vicinity "hello." Tom is in the ground crew of the air corps, and is now stationed at Miami Beach, Fla. Tom and Bob McCann are in the same company, and a number of other Lowell boys are also stationed at the same location.

Member Military Police
Pvt. Thomas Bruckman, taking his military training in the air corps ground crew at Miami, Fla., is also doing his bit as a member of the military police.This May 6, 1943, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 2, column 1:
- Enjoying his first furlough since his enlistment early in the winter, Pvt. Thomas Bruckman arrived home Tuesday to visit his parents, the Harold Bruckmans, and his sisters and grandparents, the Ed Bruckmans. Tom is in the air corps and is stationed at Miami Beach, Fla., at the present time.
An April 6, 1944, Lowell Tribune article (page 1, column 1) entitled "World War II Vets Installed in Lowell Legion" lists Thomas E. Bruckman, Air Corps, as one of nine honorably discharged World War II soldiers and one WAVE who were installed at Lowell Post 101, American Legion.
