On Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. at the home of the groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. George L. Hatter, occurred the marriage of Mayme Hatfield and Thomas G. Hatter. Rev. C.B. Thomas performed the ceremony. It was a quiet home wedding and the only guests present were of the immediate family, Mr. and Mrs. Smuts, the bride's sister and her husband; Mr. and Mrs. George Hatter and daughter Beth; Mr. and Mrs. Paul C. Hanson and sons, Robert and Donald, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Lawmon and daughter, Jean, of Manchester, Iowa; Mrs. C.B. Thomas, wife of the minister.The bride was charmingly attired in a gown of white and carried sweet peas. The young people were the recipients of a number of nice gifts.
The bride and groom left shortly after the ceremony amid the usual shower of rice, for the home of her sister at Fort Wayne, where the bridal dinner was served and from there expected to leave for a trip to Cold Water, Mich., to spend a few days. They well soon be at home to their friends in Roanoke -- Roanoke (Ind.) Review.
