The following November 15, 1951, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 3, column 4:
    Thomas Ronan, of Route 2, who has been a patient at Hines Veteran's hospital for more than five weeks, is responding to medical treatment and friends pray for his continued improvement. Tom contracted illness while serving with the Seabees in the South Pacific.
