The following March 7, 1968, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 2, column 2:

Army Private First Class Valentine E. Fetsch, 20, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph M. Fetsch, Sr., Route 1, Lowell, Ind., was assigned as a welder with the 169th Engineer Battalion near Long Binh, Vietnam, Feb. 12.
