The following item was in the April 1, 1920, Lowell Tribune (page 1, column 6):

A Surprise

Sunday, March twenty-eighth being Will Spry's birthday, his wife and sisters planned a party in honor of the occasion. He was very much surprised but soon recovered and took part in entertaining the guests.

Each family came with a well filled basket for the dinner, which was enjoyed by twenty four guests.

Those present were: Emil Larson, Sol Spry, Clarence Spry and families; Messrs and Mesdames James Little, Roy Pattee, William Spry; Misses Hester Little, Lenora Clark; Messrs Eltson Little, Milton Spry and John Osterhoff.
