The following article was found in the January 21, 1943, Lowell Tribune on page 5, column 3:

In honor of the birthday of their son, "Bill," Mr. and Mrs. Sanford Bales served a birthday dinner on Sunday. Guests from out of town included George Warren of Parr, and Mr. and Mrs. George Rosenbauer of Cedar Lake.

This April 13, 1944, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 5, column 3:

A son was born to Mr. and Mrs. William Bales, Sunday. The youngster has been named George Sanford.
