KOCKLER - KING
An attractive wedding which took place on Thanksgiving morning was that of Miss Barbara Kockler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kockler, of Walter street, and William King, of Hammond, son of Mrs. E. King, of Lowell. The ceremony took place at St. Joseph Catholic church, at the hour of eight, where Father Jensen read nuptial high mass.The bride was attractive in a beige crepe frock wearing a pretty hat and shoes to correspond, and a lovely bouquet of roses and Valley lilies. Her sister, who served as maid of honor, was attired in a becoming cocoa brown frock of crepe and velvet with hat to match. Her bouquet was fashioned of delicate roses. The groom was attended by his brother Lawrence King, of Lowell.
After the service a well appointed dinner was served at the home of the bride's parents, for about twenty guests. Mr. and Mrs. King will be at home to their friends after a brief wedding trip in an apartment on Truman boulevard. Both young people are popular with their group of friends. The groom is employed as Production Manager of the Kleen Maid Baking Co., and the bride at the F.S. Betz Co. The groom received his education at St. Edward school in Lowell and Mrs. King at St. Joseph school in Hammond.
The out-of-town guests at the wedding included Mrs. A. Kockler, of Chicago, Mrs. E. King, Miss Theresa King and Lawrence King, all of Lowell and L.T. Penwell, of Crown Point.
