Ireta Mae Childress and Friend, ca. 1911
- Sue Cameron, upon seeing a circa 1911 torn graduation photo in which her grandfather was pictured, sent this photo of her grandmother (also from the same class) with the following explanation:
- I recognize my grandfather William Fuller Black (born: June 9, 1896 in Lowell; died: June 11, 1945) in the ‘torn graduating class’ photo on your website. He is on the far left in the first row. William married my grandmother Ireta Mae Childress (born Oct 25, 1896) who was also in the picture but in the ‘missing’ half. The picture is of their grade eight graduating class.
Since I don’t have the class picture I’ve attached a related picture of my grandmother and her girlfriend which was taken on the same day. My grandmother’s friend is on the right. In the torn photo, her friend is in the top row, far right.
