Lowell Memorial Cemetery Arch

- This decorative stone arch has been standing in the Lowell Memorial Cemetery for many decades. It was constructed by Works Progress Administration Project (WPA) stone masons about 1935. It may have also qualified for the government's PWPA, the Public Works of Art program of 1933-34. The WPA was created to help provide economic relief to all who were suffering from the Great Depression of 1929 to early 1940's.
