The Heiser Hotel -- 1923

This building was erected in 1860 and enlarged around the time of the Civil War. At that time it was called the Union House. From 1903-1916 Fred and Theresa Schmal owned the hotel; then it was sold to the Heisers.
Picture comes from the Lowell History CD-Rom, compiled by Gregory Jancosek. This CD-Rom contains photos from the Richard Schmal collection and the Lowell Public Library collection, as well as photos from other sources.
