Thomas and Anne (Montgomery) Black and Family, ca 1887
- This photo, from the collection of Sue Cameron, was identified by her as follows:
- Thomas Black and Anne Montgomery and their 10 children circa 1887. My great grandfather, James McWilliam Black (March 23, 1867), is the clean-shaven fellow in the middle of the back row. (A bit of trivia: James was a red head.) I believe the youngest girl is named Selma Patterson, whom the Black family adopted after their daughter Agnes drowned in 1878. The source for this adoption information is a family history on the Koberstein family I found on the Internet.
