from an unidentified source found in the Clippings Files at Lowell Public Library (LH--Businesses) and hand dated Jan. 1926:
- "Bill" Weaver has rented the room formerly occupied by the Beckman grocery, next to Lynch's store, and has fitted it up and moved his barber shop there. His father, H.V. Weaver, has fitted up the back part of the room for his undertaking rooms.
The following unidentified newspaper item (dated June 27, 1929) was found in a scrapbook owned by Town Historian Richard Schmal:
- Wilford Weaver has traded his residence property on Oakley Ave., to Dr. M.A. Page for his residence on Commercial Ave. Weaver and Son will fit the lower floor of the Dr. Page residence into a funeral home and when completed they will have a funeral home that will be second to none in any town the size of Lowell in the state. It will make an ideal place for the holding of funerals and caring for the dead, as the proprietors will spare no expense in making it up-to-date in every way. Mr. Weaver will occupy the upper floor as a residence. Work will be started on remodeling the lower floor at once and the proprietors expect to have the work completed in about six weeks.
A copy of the following unidentified newspaper article, hand-dated July 9, 1931, was found in the Lowell Public Library's clipping files:
- Wilford Weaver met with a peculiar accident last Sunday. He was at the cemetery and getting the casket lowering device in place when in some way he slipped and lost his balance and fell into the open grave. He struck his back on one of the planks and fractured two ribs. He has been confined to the house ever since. While the accident is not serious, it is very painful.
