The following article, hand-dated Mar. 12, 1970, was found in the local history clipping files at the Lowell Public Library (LH--Vital Statistics, vol. 4, p. 31):

    Retired businessman dies

    Robert H. Cullen of 533 Mohawk Drive, Lowell, a retired Lowell businessman, passed away on Friday, March 6th, at the age of 72.

    He is survived by his wife, Olive; one son, Robert F. of Dearborn Heights, Mich.; one daughter, Mrs. Loretta Austgen of Lowell; four grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Florence Pear of Lowell.

    A World War I veteran, Mr. Cullen was a member of St Edward's Catholic Church.

    Services were held Monday, March 9, at St Edward's Church. Burial was in St. Edward's Cemetery. Sheets Funeral Home was in charge of services.
