The following March1, 1951, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 3, column 4:
    Mrs. Clarence Buche and son and daughter, Allen and Marilyn, spent Saturday and Sunday at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., where they visited their son and brother, Pvt. Charles Buche. Mrs. Theodore Gerner accompanied them and spent the week - end with her son, Pvt. Milton "Bud" Gerner. Friends should address their cards to Bud as follows: Pvt. Milton D. Gerner, U.S. 55111862, Btry A 62nd AFABN, 6th Armd. Div., Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.
This April 26, 1951, Lowell Tribune article was found page 3, column 4:

    ENJOYS WEEK-END AT HOME

    Charles Buche enjoyed last week-end at home. The Tribune brings Charles' address t0 his many Lowell friends from whom he will be happy to receive messages: Pvt. Charles J. Buche US 55111859, Co. F, 25th Armored Eng., 6th Armored Div., Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo.
This August 9, 1951, Lowell Tribune article was found page 1, column 5:
    Pvt. Charles Buche will return Sunday to Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., concluding a 13-day furlough spent at home. Charles is a member of the 44th Armored Infantry Battalion of the 6th Armored Division.
A December 27, 1951, Lowell Tribune article (page 2, column 1) listed Charles Buche as one of many servicemen from the Lowell vicinity arriving home for the holidays.

This March 20, 1952, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 2, column 1:
    Pfc. Charles Buche returned to Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., Monday after spending five days at home.
The following June 12, 1952, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 2, column 3:
    Pfc. Charles J. Buche arrived home from Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., June 2nd, on furlough. He will fly to Camp Stoneman in California and report on June 20th for assignment to overseas service.
The following August 14, 1952, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 2, column 2:
    Charles J. Buche arrived in Korea and was assigned as cook for a service battery in the eastern sector. His present address is: Pfc. Charles J. Buche, US55111859, Service Btry, 171 F.A. Bn., APO 86, c/o Postmaster, San Francisco, California.
The following December 18, 1952, Lowell Tribune article appeared on page 2, columns 1-2:
    Cpl. Charles J. Buche, arrived home last week from Korea on a 30-day emergency leave, having been called home by the serious illness of his sister, Marilyn. Charles, who anticipates his discharge in February, will finish his enlistment at Camp Atterbury.
This unidentified newspaper article was found in a scrapbook owned by Town Historian Richard Schmal:

    Charles Buche Buys Spindler Interest in Local Hardware

    Charles Buche has purchased the Spindler interest in the Pletcher-Spindler Hardware. He took over January 1. The purchase dissolves the partnership established in 1947 by Alvah Pletcher and Henry Spindler.

    Mr. Buche, son-in-law of Mr. Pletcher, was graduated from Lowell high school in 1947, and served with the U.S. Army. Before coming to the hardware last spring he was employed by his brother at Roger's Market.

    Mr. Spindler plans to manage his farm near Demotte.
