    PFC. DEAN HAMILTON WOUNDED IN KOREA
    Word has been received that Pfc. Dean Hamilton, son of Mrs. Andrew McKeon of Shelby, has returned to the United States, following severe leg wounds received in Korea. Dean, who is 19 years old, is now at Camp Atterbury and will be hospitalized for at least a year. He was stationed at Osaka, Japan for a year and a half and as a member of the infantry, he was sent to Korea during the second week of the hostilities there. He was wounded on October 13.

    Pfc. Dean Hamilton, who is confined to the hospital at Camp Atterbury, Indiana, is gradually improving. His mother, Mrs. Andrew McKeon, who visited him last week reports that he is in fine spirits, but must remain in the hospital for several more months. Dean received severe leg wounds while fighting in Korea early in October. He is a member of the infantry, and was stationed in Osaka, Japan, prior ro his service in Korea.

    Pfc. Dean Hamilton, who has been hospitalized at Camp Atterbury, is spending the holidays with his mother, Mrs. Andrew McKeon and family. Dean, who was wounded early in October in Korea, will be home for thirty days.

The following January 25, 1951, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 4, column 2:
    Dean Hamilton, who has enjoyed a thirty day furlough from Camp Atterbury where he was hospitalized, returned to camp on Sunday. He was accompanied on the trip by his mother, Mrs. Andrew McKeon and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Wells. Dean was wounded on October 9, in the fighting in Korea.

This May 10, 1951, Lowell Tribune article was found page 3, column 1:
    Pfc. Dean Hamilton is enjoying a thirty day furlough with his mother, Mrs. Andrew McKeon and family of Shelby. Dean received severe leg wounds early in October while fighting in Korea and he has been hospitalized at Camp Atterbury since his return to The United States. Recent surgery enabled him to walk with the aid of crutches, and his many friends wish him continued recovery.

The following June 7, 1951, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 3, columns 2-3:
    Pfc. Dean Hamilton returned Sunday to Camp Atterbury where he has been hospitalized since being wounded in Korea last October. He had just completed a thirty day furlough with his mother, Mrs. Andrew McKeon and family. Dean was accompanied by Don Flatt and Doris Studer on his return trip. Enroute, they were indirectly involved in an automobile accident at Lebanon, Ind., when one of two cars which collided swerved around, striking Don's car. Although none of the Shelby group were seriously injured, Miss Studer suffered a dislocated shoulder and facial cuts, with Dean and Don receiving minor injuries.

    Spending the day at the army base at Camp Atterbury, Sunday, were Mrs. Essie Flatt, Doris Studer, Don Flatt and Mrs. Edward Ceiga. They visited Pfc. Edward Ceiga and Pfc. Dean Hamilton, both of whom are stationed there. Dean is still hospitalized at the camp, from wounds received in Korea last October.

This July 12, 1951, Lowell Tribune article was found page 3, column 2:
    Pfc. Dean Hamilton spent the weekend with his mother, Mrs. Andy McKeon and family, and has now returned to Camp Atterbury. Also home for the weekend was Pfc. Edward Ceiga. Mrs. Ceiga is the former Jane Kimmett.

This August 30, 1951, Lowell Tribune article was found page 1, column 5:
    Pfc. Dean Hamilton, son of Mrs. Andrew McKeon of Shelby, is enjoying a 30-day convalescent furlough from Camp Atterbury.

The following November 15, 1951, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 1, column 2:
    Enjoying the weekend at home was Pfc. Dean Hamilton, son of Mrs. Andrew McKeon of Shelby. Dean is stationed at Camp Atterbury.

The following December 20, 1951, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 2, column 1:
    Pfc. Dean Hamilton is spending a 30-day convalescence leave from Camp Atterbury at the home of his mother, Mrs. Andy McKeon in Shelby. Pfc. Hamilton, who was wounded in Korea one year ago, has since been confined to the Atterbury hospital.

The following January 17, 1952, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 1, column 6:
    Pfc. and Mrs. Dean Hamilton left last weekend for Indianapolis, where Dean is stationed at Camp Atterbury. Mrs. Hamilton has taken an apartment in Indianapolis and will live there until her husband's release from the hospital at Camp Atterbury.
