BONNIE SPRY IS BRIDE OF THOMAS COMBS
At a quiet ceremony in the Lowell Methodist parsonage on Saturday afternoon, November 26th at 3 o'clock, Bonnie Lou Spry, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Milton Spry of Lowell, became the bride of Thomas Richardson Combs, son of William Combs, Sr.Rev. Paul A. Reisen officiated at the informal double-ring rites.
The bride was attractively attired in a worsted suit of taupe accented by white accessories with a corsage of red roses and white gardenias pinned to the shoulderline of her suit.
Mrs. James Combs was the matron of honor, her ensemble featuring a brown checked suit and brown accessories. She wore a corsage of gardenias.
James Combs attended his brother as best man.
White accessories and a corsage of gardenias made pleasing contrast for the navy suit chosen by the bride's mother.
Following the rites a reception was held at the home of the bride's parents. Mrs. John Taylor and Mrs. Clark Brownell presided at the lace covered refreshment table where roses and lighted tapers encircled the wedding cake and bouquets of roses and carnations decorated the home.
The couple will reside in Bloomington, Indiana, when they return from a short honeymoon trip.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Combs are graduates of the Lowell high school and Mrs. Combs is a junior at Purdue University while Mr. Combs is a junior student at Indiana University where he is affiliated with the Kappa Sigma Kappa fraternity. During the war he served three years as a pharmacist's mate and dental technician with the United States Navy, stationed in the Hawaiian Islands.
