Herman "Hermie" Hayden
The following article was found in the April 1, 1943, Lowell Tribune on page 2, column 2:
HERMIE HAYDEN CALLED YESTERDAY MORNING
While doing his janitor work at the Schneider school Monday morning, Hermie Hayden suffered a stroke of paralysis. He was taken to the Mercy hospital, Gary, where he passed away yesterday morning. He had been in poor health for some time.Mr. Hayden was a life-long resident of this section.
He leaves his wife, two sons, Kitchell and Glen of Lowell, and two daughters, Mrs.Leslie Strickland of Gary, and Mrs. Charles Minninger of Cedar Lake; one brother, Earl, and one sister, Mrs. Harry Gordon, both of Lowell.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete, awaiting word from two grandsons in the U.S. army. Friends are asked to call the Weaver funeral home for information.
