Nellie Hayden Beebe

Nellie Hayden Beebe
(Mrs. Charles A. Beebe)

The following unidentified newspaper article was in a collection owned by Lowell Town Historian Richard Schmal:

    BEEBE -HAYDEN

On Wednesday, January 10th, 1883, at the residence of the bride's father, Mr. Ed. Hayden, of West Creek, Mr. Charles Beebe, of Yellowhead, Ill., was united in marriage to Miss Nellie Hayden.

A large circle of relatives and friends were present to witness the ceremony, which took place about 1 o'clock. It will be remembered that the wedding which was previously announced was postponed on account of the groom being sick with the measles, from which he has entirely recovered, and looked as happy as a lord, (as well he might with such a desirable partner to share his sorrows and joys). The dinner after the marriage was a feast, indeed, and justified the reputation the Haydens have for getting up "something good to eat." Everyone did justice to the good eatibles, everything passed off pleasantly, and this happy occasion will always be remembered by those who were there. The Dr. made a host of friends by his easy, affable manner, and we will all remember with pleasure the wedding of our esteemed friends, and will throw the traditional slipper after them and wish them much happiness.

The presents were so many and valuable we think our readers will be interested in the following list:
