Miss Gladys Brown, of Lowell, and Irvin Linton, of Crown Point, were married at the M.E. parsonage by Rev. C.A. Brown last Thursday, November 25. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. George Wilson and is one of our most highly esteemed young ladies and numbers her friends by the score. The groom is associated with his father in the furniture and undertaking business at the county seat and is well known here, where he had a host of friends. A wedding dinner was served at the home of the bride. After a short honeymoon trip the young couple will return to Crown Point where they will make their future home. We join the large circle of friends of both the bride and groom in extending congratulations and best wishes.
My life's been all one happy rhyme
Right here in Lowell -- just all the time.
I've never longed to cross the foam,
Was satisfied to stay at home.
But now I'm goin' twelve miles away,
'Spec I'll be down most every day.
The jitney man goes back and forth
I'll come at ten -- at five ride north.
Bless be the tie that binds us two,
I like that jitney route -- don't you?
Of all the places I have found
This little Lowell was "Holy Ground."
Of all the friends that I have met
My Lowell friends are the "bestest yet."
So when you want a bit of rhyme
Call me -- Ill come just any time.
No matter where 'bouts I may roam,
Just call up -- 'n Ill come home.
