The following May 13, 1926, Lowell Tribune article appeared on page 4, column 3:
    Rebecca Martin was born in Yellowhead township, Kankakee county, Ill., August 3, 1849, and died at the home of her sister, Mrs. Caroline Hayden, May 8, 1926.

    On October 14, 1873, she was united in marriage to Daniel Martin.

    She united with the church of Christ at an early age and was always a faithful follower of her chosen faith. She passed from this life as she had lived, putting all her trust in the Lord.

    The greater part of her life was spent in Lowell or with her sister, where she made her home.

    She leaves to mourn, one sister, Mrs. Caroline Hayden, of Lowell; two brothers, Maurice Cleaver, of Joliet, Ill., and Jasper Cleaver, of Kankakee, Ill., also a number of relatives and a large circle of friends.

    Funeral services were held at the Church of Christ in Lowell at 2 p.m., Monday, May 10th. Rev. F.B Nickerson officiated. Undertaker Sheets had charge of the burial.

    The following acted as pall bearers: William Einspahr, Thuel A. Hayden, Elmo Dodge, Merrill Dodge, McKinley Cleaver and Cyril Cleaver.
