Mrs. Anna Griesel, 80, Lifetime Resident Here Laid to Rest Sunday
Anna Griesel, 80, passed away at her home June 24, following a brief illness. Born in Chicago, April 27, 1874, the daughter of Nicholas and Margaret Klein had lived her entire life in the Lowell community. In 1896 she was married to Charles Griesel, who died October 8, 1922.Survivors include two sons, Harold C. of Hobart and Ernest P. of Gary; one daughter, Edith A. Love of Lowell; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Frances Herzog of Tucson, Ariz.; Mrs. Kathryn Payne and Mrs. Mamie Koutz of Chicago; and one brother, Mr. Anthony Klein of Chicago Heights.
Memorial services were held at the Sheets Funeral Home, on June 26, with Rev. Edward M. Boney officiating and interment was in the Lowell cemetery. Pall bearers were Frank Patz, Ernest Bahr, Milford Bahr, Thomas Smith, Herman Wietbrock and Vern Ohlenkamp.
